Nisa is another important archaeological complex located in Turkmenistan, not far from the modern capital Ashgabat. This ancient city was inhabited as early as the 3rd century BC and is considered one of the oldest cities in Central Asia.
In ancient times, Nisa was the capital of the Parthian kingdom, one of the great states of early antiquity that rivaled the Roman Empire in the Middle East. The Parthian king Mithridates I founded Nisa and made it his residence. Later, under the rule of his descendants, the city flourished as a center of trade and culture.

The city of Tejen is a city oasis thanks to the river Heray Rud which takes its sources in Afghanistan in the mountains of Gobsmacked (Hindu Kush). This river was called in Greek " Arius " and "Tarius" in Latin. The city counts more than 50'000 inhabitants and is in a road crossroad (M37) and railway (on the line of Trans-caspienne).

Darvaza is a gas crater in Turkmenistan. But many call it the “Door to the Underworld” or the “Gates of Hell.” It is located 90 km from the village of Erbent. The diameter of the crater is approximately 60 meters, the depth is about 20 meters.

Anau is an ancient city in the southwestern part of Turkmenistan, which amazes with its historical heritage and unique architecture. It is located on the banks of the Murghab River and is one of the oldest and most interesting cities in the region.
