Akbaital pass (Ak-Baital)

Akbaital, Kyrgyz word meaning "white mare" is a pass of the Eastern Pamirs, located on the M41 motorway between Osh and Murghab. The height of the pass is 4655 meters. The highest point of the Pamir Highway. The pass is open all year round and it connects the Sarykolsky and Muzkol ridges and separates the Karakul Lake Basin from the upper reaches of the South Akbaital River (Murghab Basin). The climb from the Muzkol valley is relatively gentle, but on the south side it is steeper with several hairpin bends.

Ötmök

Otmok is located in the Suusamyr Valley in direction Talas oblast. There is a parking lot close to the slopes (42.236184, 73.198633) and many options for skiing in alpine terrain in North, East, South and West exposition with start and ending close to the street. You can choose between long slopes up to 2.5 km and short hike ups with fun runs. Usually, you can spend easily 2 days in this area for skitouring.

Jalgyz Karagay

Jalgyz Karagay - pass - the place is located at height (3325 m) above sea level. Translated from the Kyrgyz name means "alone fir-tree". In summer it is a real paradise for nomads and livestock. In addition to traditional countless flocks of sheep, goats, cows and horses, we can see also yaks, etc. If you will see them once, you will never forget it.

Karatakkya pass

This pass leads from the Chong Kyzyl Suu valley to the Kichi Kyzyl Suu valley. It is the only pass that can be made on horseback or on foot, south of the Jeli Suu peak. 

There is no particular difficulty. It is possible to set up a camp at the foot of the pass, either in the Kichi Kyzyl Suu valley or in the Karatakkya valley. 

From the geo-physical station it is a long day's walk to the Kichi Kyzyl Suu valley. The panorama is incredible, you can see all the high peaks of the Terskey Alatoo.
