Dashoguz Airport is an important communications hub in the northern part of Turkmenistan, serving as a gateway to this historically and culturally rich region. Namangan Airport is located to the west of the city, on the road to Turakurgon. The airport serves several Russian cities: Moscow, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, Krasnodar, Saint-Petersburg, Yekaterinburg; and several weekly flights to the Uzbek capital, Tashkent.

Fergana Airport (FEG code) is the second largest airport in Uzbekistan. It is an international airport and serves the Fergana region, Uzbekistan. It is located southwest of the city center. Fergana Airport offers non-stop passenger flights to 18 destinations.

At present, there are 2 domestic flights departing from Fergana, to Tashkent and Samarkand.

The "Termez" airport started its activity on May 25, 1941 with the IATA code "TMJ". It is the southernmost airport in Uzbekistan on the border with Afghanistan. Flights are operated by Uzbekistan Airlines to Tashkent, Moscow and St-Petersburg.

The Urgench international airport under IATA code UGC is the nearest airport in the north of Uzbekistan desserving the historical city of Khiva. Flights operate to Tashkent daily and other flights to Dushanbe, Moscow and St-Petersburg.

Nukus International Airport under the IATA code "NCU" was built in the 1960s, and is located in the north of Uzbekistan. The current airstrips were renovated in 2011. The airlines Ural Airlines and Uzbekistan Airlines operate from this airport.

Isfana Airport started its operations in the 1940s as a landing strip near the town of Isfana, in Leylek district of the Batken Oblast. After Kalacha Airport, serving the coal mining town of Sulukta (16 km north of Isfana), was closed, Isfana Airport started serving Sulukta residents as well. The current runway and terminal were built in 1974. In the Soviet years, it received aircraft such as Yak-40, An-2, An-26, An-28, BAE-146-200 and helicopters of all types. It is a regional class 3C airport.

In March 1923, the Russian Society of Voluntary Air Fleet "Dobrolet" was founded and was launched a training overhead lines in Uzbekistan. Innovation has become very important. At this time, from Tashkent to Almaty was done in 15 days on horseback, and the way from Tashkent to Bukhara and to Khiva on the caravan routes was very dangerous and the trip could held a month!
