Kodjo Kelen valley

The Kodjo Kelen valley is still little known. The ocher cliffs create an impressive contrast in the middle of alpine-type vegetation. You can spend at least two days walking there. But it is also the start of 2 treks towards, one passing the Jiptik pass and joining Sary Mogol in front of the Lenin peak, in 3 days. Or by the Sary Mogol pass in 7 days.

Gulcha or Gulcho is a important village on the road M41, between Osh city and Sary-Tash village. Gulcha is the capital of the Alay district.

Kazarman

Kazarman is an important village in Toguz-Toro district of Jalal-Abad province, Kyrgyzstan. It is located on the banks of the Naryn River, at an altitude of 1260 m above sea level. The regional center is 145 km from Jalal-Abad on the road to Naryn. It is a stopping place on the long road from Osh to Lake Song Kul or to the Tash Rabat caravanserail. At the beginning of the 20th century, about sixty soldiers from the Russian Empire settled in the village and called their place "Barracks". Later, the locals called it Kazarman.

Karol Doeboe village

Local legends say that in ancient times the tribes living in Chong Kemin valley area used this hill to watch for any enemy tribes that might approach along the road. The hill offered a view over all of Chong Kemin. Day and night, lying on this hill, local soldiers guarded their homes. As time passed, locals began calling this hill Karool Dobo "Guard Hill". Later, the village at the foot of the hill also took the name "Karool Dobo".

Arslanbob village

Arslanbob (written also Arstanpap or Arslanbap) is a wide village in the mountain, north of the city of Jalal Abad. Mainly populated by people of Uzbek ethnicity, the village count about 15'000 inhabitants. Most of the population are Uzbek, and less than 5% is Kyrgyz, Russian, Tatar, Tajik, Chechen etc… The village is situated at an altitude of 1350 metres up to 1800 metres.

Bokonbaeva

Bokonbaevo is the most important agglomeration on the southern shore of Issyk-Kul. This place is not only famous for its beauty, but it is also a center of eco-tourism. The village is located 160 km from Karakol and 280 km from Bishkek. Tourists come here to experience the nomadic life of the Kyrgyz people, the fresh and pure mountain air and for the splendor of Issyk-Kul lake.
