Karakol gorge

The Karakol valley is fully part of the Karakol Natural Park. Located on the south part of Karakol city, from the Altyn Arashan valley till Chelpek valley. The natural park was organized in 1997 to preserve the unique natural ecosystem of the Karakol valley. The main objectives are the protection of plants and animals in the park, typical of the North-East of Kyrgyzstan, as well as the organization of leisure of the population and foreign tourists. The flora is represented by 700 species, 80 of them - trees and shrubs.

Karavshin gorge

The Karavshin valley arises from the confluence of 3 long valleys: Kara-Suu, Ak-Suu and Jaupaya whose sources are located in the Turkestan chain, which is part of the Pamir massif, on the border with Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. This region is known to climbers for its resemblance to the peaks of southern Patagonia, and often referred to as the Kyrgyz Patagonia.

Kashka Suu canyon

Some 20km south of Bishkek, the Kashka-Suu valley, whose river is influential to that of Ala Archa. The largest number of ski resorts can be found there, including Polytech, Kashka-Suu, Ak-Tash, Ortussay, Edelweiss, etc.
The landscape is breathtaking, a mixture of pasture and red sandstone canyon.

Kegety gorge

Nearly 60km south-east of Bishkek, the Kegeti valley lies between that of Issyk Ata and that of Shamshi. There is a pass that crosses the Kyrgyz Alatoo mountain range, and leads to the Kochkor valley.

Belogorka gorge

The Belogorka valley, 35 km long, sinks into the mountain range of Kyrgyz Alatoo. It is located 40km west of Bishkek. This valley is popular for its waterfall which is often visited by locals. It also gives access to mountaineers for the ascent of the Putin peak.

Chong-Ak-Suu gorge

The Chong-Ak-Suu valley or also called Grigorivka, stretches for 35 km in the Kungey Alatoo massif, between Lake Issyk Kul and the Kazakh border. The river of the same name is bordered to the north by cliffs and very steep slopes, while to the south, large pastures cover the mountains. The valley is very visited in summer by tourists who come to rest on the shores of Lake Issyk Kul.

Altyn Arashan valley

The gorge Altyn Arashan (with Kyrgyz language "golden source") - one of the most beautiful places of Kyrgyzstan. Its scenic beauty, a gem of the mountains is Ala Kel, and hot springs, known for their beneficial properties, have long conquered the hearts of the people who come to these places. Arashan mountain valley of the river is 10 kilometers east of the town of Kara-Kol.

Barskoon gorge

Nestled in the heart of Kyrgyzstan, a captivating 40 km long valley links the south shore of Issyk Kul Lake to the high plateau of Arabel Suu and the sources of the Naryn Basin. This scenic route, 2160m. of positive drop, is well-maintained year-round by the nearby Kumtor gold mine, ensuring accessibility even in winter.
