Afghan cuisine is as diverse as its peoples. But it remains very common in other Central Asian countries. We will find pilaf rice, as a holiday dish, but also large steamed ravioli, beef, lamb or chicken skewers. But we also find a lot of vegetables such as poichiches, red beans, lentils. The dishes are often accompanied by rice, but wheat, barley and corn are also part of Afghan cuisine. We also find cheese cured on bread with onion and mint: the "qrouti" which looks like the pamiri "kurtob" dish.
