Guesthouse Jekshen

In Karool-Dobo village, in the Chon-Kemin Valley near the entrance to Chong Kemin National Park, Zhekshen and his family run a family guesthouse for travelers following this route. Accommodation is simple and comfortable in a traditional village setting, with free Wi-Fi and parking for up to three cars.

The guesthouse is a member of the CBT (Community-Based Tourism) association of Chong Kemin and works in line with Nomad’s Land’s responsible tourism values. Staying here supports a local family and community-based tourism in the valley while respecting the surrounding natural area and Kyrgyz traditions.

A cat and a dog are part of the household atmosphere. Meals can be ordered for an additional fee. Guests can also join a “Boorsok show” to watch and taste the preparation of this traditional Kyrgyz bread.

Guided horse-drawn sleigh rides can be arranged. Guests may also take part in traditional equestrian games, including kok-boru and other national competitions, depending on local arrangements and conditions.
