Andijan Region

Andijan Region is the Fergana Valley at close range. It has less room to perform softness than the western craft circuit: neighborhoods press against fields, factories and workshops sit near busy roads, and markets make the city feel immediate rather than leisurely. Andijan city carries Babur memory, but the region’s modern character comes from density. Shared taxis, railway movement, industrial sites, bazaars, school traffic and border-facing roads keep the province in motion. This is the eastern engine of the Uzbek valley, tied to agriculture but too urban and crowded to be reduced to fields. It differs from Fergana Region’s silk-and-ceramic identity and Namangan’s northern edge. Andijan’s strongest editorial angle is pressure: people, production, goods, families and transport all packed into one of Uzbekistan’s most compact regional landscapes.
