Khonog Tolgoi - Khangiin Khan Nuur

Lake Khagiin khar is a wonderful small freshwater lake, it is located 140 km north of Ulaanbaatar, amid an evergreen forest on the southern slope of Baga Khentii. This place is surrounded by a 2km² forest area, 2.5 km long and 1.1 km wide. This lake about 30m deep was formed when the moraine of the 4th great ice age has crossed the stream that descends from the chain Hentii. The Khol river to its source and flows through the moraine giving birth to a beautiful canyon 20m. Overnight in tents.
