Komandatur of Karasay - Choloktor valley

After enjoying breakfast, we embark on a horseback ride along the stunning Kunday gorge, leading us to the breathtaking Beletek pass at an altitude of 3735 meters. From this vantage point, we are treated to expansive views of the Taragai valley and the vibrant Choloktor mountains, painting a colorful scene to our right. Along our journey, we traverse the Kyzyleshme river, a vital water source for the local wildlife, before pausing for a well-deserved lunch break. Continuing our ride, we follow the foothills of the magnificent Choloktor mountains, immersing ourselves in the beauty of the landscape. In the afternoon, we cross the Choloktor river, then we arrive at the Taragai river, a hub for shepherds during the summer months, accessible via a rugged trail. Our campsite awaits on the south side of the Djetimbel pass, where we will spend the night under the starry sky, nestled in our tents.
