About this Journey
Leaving the camp, after ~ 2-3 hours (4 km) you will reach Ala-Kul Lake (3600 m). Enjoy a short hike around the lake, you can also climb one of the nearby peaks. In winter, Ala-Kul is solidly frozen and the depth of the lake remains a mystery. Beware that temperatures can dip below 0°C at night. Overnight camping in tents.
