A closer look

Immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of Kyrgyz craftsmanship with this unique handicraft experience in the charming village of Kyzyl-Suu. Here, you'll meet a master fabric artisan who weaves stories into every piece she creates. Each product is a testament to the skill, tradition, and cultural heritage of the Kyrgyz people.

In her workshop, you'll witness the creation of Alty Kot, a traditional fabric art form. Each Alty Kot requires three meters of rope material, meticulously woven into intricate patterns. From "horn motifs" to "dream" designs, each pattern is a symbol, a story, and a piece of art. These motifs serve as both central and peripheral patterns, creating a stunning visual effect.

But the artistry doesn't stop at Alty Kot. The workshop also produces a variety of unique items, from tea toshoks to pillows, each one handcrafted and adorned with traditional patterns. These items are not just products, but pieces of Kyrgyz culture and tradition.

Masterclass prices start from 300 soms, offering you the opportunity to learn from a skilled artisan. Each piece you create or purchase is not just a product, but a story of tradition, skill, and the enduring spirit of the Kyrgyz people.

Join us on this journey into the heart of Kyrgyz craftsmanship. Take home more than just a souvenir. Take home a piece of Kyrgyz tradition, a symbol of our rich cultural heritage, and a testament to the skill and creativity of our people.
