Peak Jeti Oguz

You might think that Jeti Oguz Peak is one of the highest peaks in the Teskei Alatoo, but it is actually one of the first you can see from the Issyk Kul lake side, just east of the Jeti Oguz Sanatorium. The peak resembles a pyramid, a beautiful triangle linking the forest to the snowy summits.

In winter, it stands lonely and can be ascended by ski touring from the yurt camps at Kok Jayik.

She makes a last supply before leaving to search for the basmatchis who were hiding in the Tien Shan mountains. The market is in the centre of the village on the main road south of Lake Issyk Kul.

You can find everything here, but the main reason for coming is fresh bread, meat, fruit, vegetables and dairy products.

Stones of Tamga Tash

Tamga Tash means the "marked stone". There are three stones in total and they are several hundred metres apart, in the mountains 5km south of Tamga village.
