Jyrgalan Backcountry Base
Jyrgalan village is located 60 km east of Karakol town, in the Issyk Kul Oblast. Jyrgalan is a mountain village built at an altitude of 2250 meters, during the Soviet era for the exploitation of coal. The mine now closed, the inhabitants of the village have decided to form an ecotourism community and to develop year-round tourism in this little-known region.
In 2021, the community offered 8 homestays, 2 yurt camps and 1 guesthouse. There is no ski lift, but a snow-cat and snowmobiles.

Ak-Tash Mountain Ski Base
Small ski resort in the Orussay valley with all conveniences. One of the freeride resort of Kyrgyzstan. The small hotel at the base of the slope and its restaurant are open the all-year-around. You can be lifted or you may enjoy ski-touring also. Some skis and snowboard can be rented at the resort.
Kashka Suu Mountain Ski Base

Toguz Bulak Mountain Ski Base
Small ski resort located between Alamedin gorge and the Issyk Ata gorge. There is one chair-lift of 1800 meter long for freerider.
Kolgokar
We wouldn't expect to visit a big ski resort, Kolgokar is just a few wagons and a ski lift from the Soviet era. We don't necessarily ski, we come here to get some fresh air on weekends, enjoy a family picnic, go for a walk and drink with friends.
Polytech
Sportsmen love this ski resort built by engineer of the Polytechnic institute of Bishkek. There are surface lifts, you may rent also the "bugel". The longest lift is not offently open, it's a bar-lift. There is also a small restaurant-café with nice view of the mountain.

Karakol Ski Resort
The ski resort of the Kyrgyz SSR team, now a commercial ski resort with 2 hotels and lodges. It's part of the National Park of Karakol. There are many facilities in the resort, but you can also find cheap accommodation in the town of Karakol.
There are several slopes for all levels, but it is above all a resort for good skiers. Freeriders and walkers will find something to be satisfied with. From the station, there are several routes for ski touring.
