The Museum of Design, located in Ak-Terek village, serves as a premier destination showcasing a vast array of exhibits that encapsulate the history and evolution of design in Kyrgyzstan. Visitors are treated to extensive collections featuring interior design elements, traditional and contemporary clothing, intricate jewelry, and exceptional works from master craftsmen. This unique space not only highlights the artistic heritage of the region but also provides insightful perspectives on its cultural identity.

First, on May 9, 1985, to the 40th anniversary of the Great Victory in the building of the "House of Pioneers" of the district, a museum "Combat Glory" was opened. Later, in November 1998, the district historical and ethnographic museum Toguz-Toro was established.
     The total number of exhibits in the museum was 182, the number of exhibits increases every year, and currently the number of exhibits is 1892 (as of January 1, 2024).

The museum is located in the picturesque village of Kytai, in the vicinity of Karakol town. This place is the historical homeland of Turdubek and plays an important role in the preservation and popularization of his heritage. The Chiyim-Tash petroglyph is considered one of the most significant and interesting petroglyphs on the territory of Kyrgyzstan and attracts many tourists and researchers. It is also a cultural heritage site. This ancient drawing represents one of the oldest forms of art and is an important source of information about bygone eras and the culture of ancient peoples who inhabited this territory.
