Bazar-Korgon District is where the southern lowland begins to feel forested. Bazar-Korgon town, market roads, Uzbek-influenced villages and routes toward Arslanbob connect Jalal-Abad’s plain with walnut foothills and mountain shade above Jalal-Abad.

Ala-Buka District sits in the transitional west of Jalal-Abad Region. Around Ala-Buka town, lower foothills, cultivated land and border-facing roads link the denser Fergana edge with quieter approaches toward Aksy and Chatkal., with the road changing mood as it rises west.

At-Bashy District is Naryn’s southern borderland, where high pastures, Tash-Rabat, At-Bashy village and the road toward Torugart make travel feel both historical and exposed. Permits, weather, distance and local drivers are part of the route.

Ton District gives Issyk-Kul a drier, more handmade south-shore identity. Bokonbaevo, Kyzyl-Tuu, yurt craft, eagle-hunting traditions, canyons and open lake roads feel far from the resort pressure of the north and its lakeside villages, especially in summer.

Kemin District is the eastern end of Chuy’s valley road before the country turns toward Issyk-Kul. Kemin town, river villages, Chong-Kemin side routes and mountain walls give the district a cooler, greener corridor identity before the lake road.

Suzak District is the rural skin around Jalal-Abad city. Villages, farms, bazaar traffic and Kok-Art valley roads make it feel neither urban nor remote. It is where the southern city becomes fields, courtyards and everyday movement before routes open wider.

Batken District is the administrative and emotional center of the southwest. Batken city, apricot villages, enclave roads and mountain approaches make the district rich in local texture but dependent on current access and local advice at every stage.

Toguz-Toro District is remote Jalal-Abad with an old and hard edge. Kazarman, the Makmal gold area, Naryn River roads and routes toward Saimaluu-Tash give the district a mix of mining, archaeology and serious mountain access in one valley today.

Leylek District is Batken’s far western edge, with Razzaqov as its anchor and Tajikistan close on several sides. Low valleys, Turkestan Range foothills, village roads and border realities make the district feel distant from the national center.

Kadamjay District works at Batken’s eastern edge, where foothill orchards, Uzbek-border roads and mining settlements sit close together. Kadamjay and Aydarken give the district a harder, industrial note than the usual mountain image of Kyrgyzstan.
