The National Museum of Tajikistan in Dushanbe is the country’s most important cultural institution—an elegant architectural landmark and a gateway into the rich history of the Tajik people. Designed with a blend of modern aesthetics and traditional Central Asian motifs, the museum offers travelers an immersive experience across 24 exhibition halls spanning archaeology, natural history, fine arts, and ethnography.

In the arid north of Afghanistan, not far from the city of Mazar-i-Sharif, a modest archaeological site draws the attention of scholars, mystics, and wanderers alike. The exposed foundations and weathered stone walls shown in this photo are believed by local tradition to mark the birthplace of Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi—the 13th-century Persian poet, Sufi mystic, and philosopher whose verses still echo across the world.

On June 23, 2001, on the eve of the 10th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan's Independence, the AS Art Gallery was inaugurated in the city of Naryn. Over the years, it has become a significant cultural center of the region, attracting the attention of both local residents and visitors to the country. The gallery presents works of famous masters from Kyrgyzstan and other countries, including the USA, France and Great Britain, which emphasizes its international status.

The Kurmanjan Datka Museum, located in the village of Gulcho in Osh Province and opened in 1991, is dedicated to the life and legacy of one of the most legendary figures in Kyrgyz history. Kurmanjan Datka, nicknamed the “Queen of the South”, was an outstanding leader and diplomat whose wisdom and fortitude helped protect the interests of the Kyrgyz people during the difficult period of the 19th century.

 Nikolay Mikhailovich Przhewalsky was one of the first Russian Geographer who started studying in detail the geography, flora and fauna of the Central Asia. Beginning from 1870, he arranged 4 large expeditions to Mongolia, China, and Tibet.

During his expeditions, he revealed the exact directions of the mountain ranges and borders of the Tibetan Mountains. Przhewalsky collected an enormous zoological collection, which comprised several thousand of species of plant, animals, birds, fishes and insects.
