The Sarob hotel and recreation complex is located near Dushanbe, in the Varzob Gorge at around 2,000 metres above sea level, in Khoja Obi Garm. Rooms offer Wi-Fi and satellite TV. The restaurant provides three meals a day, with Tajik and European dishes on the menu.
The complex also has gyms, gambling halls, a fitness club, cinema hall and conference rooms equipped with a projector, screen, flipcharts and speakers. Guests can use health procedures based on hot water from nearby thermal springs, which contains radioactive substances, mineral salts and microelements. Herbal tea collected in the surrounding mountains is also available.
The location is practical for a day hike to the glacier and back, or for views across the Varzob Valley and Hissor Mountains. Several mountain tracks begin nearby.
