Karakol - Jeti Oguz valley

In the early morning we visit the wooden orthodox church of Karakol and the unique dungan mosque. We head out of town and start our trek in the nearby Irdyk valley. We enjoy an easy first trekking day on the pasturelands above Issyk Kul lake and between incredible red rock's canyons. We eventually arrive to the valley of Jety Oguz, which means the “seven bulls” in Kyrgyz language. The seven bulls refer to the 7 red stone cliff overhanging the picturesque village. We get accommodated at a cosy guesthouse where we’ll have dinner and spend the night.
