To the South shore of the Issyk Kul lake

In the morning, leave Kochkor and drive across dry, open terrain towards the southern shore of Issyk Kul, the second-largest mountain lake. The route follows the lake, with blue water set against red mountain slopes, before reaching Kyzyl Tuu, a village known for yurt-making. Explore yurt handicrafts, including wooden components and felt work, then visit an eagle hunter near Bokonbaeva to observe eagle training. Arrive in Tamga by late afternoon, at the foot of the Barskoon and Soek passes, high Silk Road crossings towards Ak-Suu in China.
