Great ride on horseback from Suusamyr Mountains to Lake Song-Kul

Early arrival in Bishkek where everyone will be picked up at the airport by our driver. Short transfer to your hotel in Bishkek city centre and resting time in the morning. Around midday, meeting at the reception desk with your guide for the general briefing, before enjoying a tasty Kyrgyz lunch. Then we stop at Ala Too Square where you will start a walking tour of Bishkek. You will be able to visit countless parks, the Osh Bazar and get to know your guide. Tonight, everyone will get to know each other at a welcome dinner with a mix of the best local dishes and drinks.

Day of transfer to the Suusamyr valley. On the way stop at the bazaar Belovodskaya, before the passage of the tunnel Toe Ashuu, stroll to the lakes of the cervix and picnic. In the afternoon, we walk back to our vehicle and cross the tunnel, then descend into the valley Suusamyr. Overnight in homestay .

In the morning, we descend to the lake Song-Kul, through huge meadows and a multitude yurt camp . At noon we arrive at our camp. End of the trek on horseback. Overnight in yurt.

In the morning, we enjoy free time at Song-Kul Lake, in the peaceful surroundings of Tulpar Tash. This is a perfect moment to experience the silence of the high steppes and observe the daily life of Kyrgyz nomads, with their yurts and herds scattered across the vast alpine pastures.

Later, we set off and drive along the shores of the lake before ascending to the Kalmak-Ashuu Pass (3,447 m). From the top, breathtaking panoramic views open over the lake and the surrounding mountains. We then descend into the Tolok Valley, where the landscape reveals a beautiful contrast of red rock formations and green meadows.

Continuing our journey, we reach the village of Kochkor, known as a center of traditional Kyrgyz handicrafts. Here, we visit a local workshop to discover the art of felt-making and other traditional crafts. After lunch, we resume our drive toward Issyk-Kul Lake, following the road across the wide basin that surrounds the lake.

In the afternoon, we leave the main road to reach the quiet village of Tamchy, located on the northern shore of Issyk-Kul. Upon arrival, we settle into a welcoming homestay, just a short distance from the lakeshore.

• After breakfast, enjoy a short swim or walk down to Issyk Kul Lake before you make your way back to Bishkek. 

In the village of Tamchy it’s possible to meet with local masters that are making handicrafts and special Kyrgyz slippers that are great gifts for your friends back home.
The first stop of the day will be at the historical Burana tower where you can see the ancient city of the Balasagun.  It’s a great stop to see a bit of the Silk Road History.
The next stop will be in Bishkek where you will be able to enjoy a walk thought the city and see a few of the hidden bazars and buy possible gifts for friends back home. 
Tonight, you will be able to have a farewell dinner with your guide and driver before you take a rest at your guesthouse in Bishkek.

Options : rafting in Chuy or Chong Kemin river; hiking in the Konorchek canyon, visit of the Chong Kemin valley; baths in hot water springs of Issyk Ata.

Depending on your flight time, your guide will join you to the airport and help you check in for your flight.  If your flight is later in the day your guide will show you more places in Bishkek before your flight.
