Secrets of Kyrgyz canyon

After arrival in Manas airport, meeting with our guide, breakfast then flight directly to Osh city. The whole day, visit of the Osh city, Salomon throne, main bazar and ethnographic museum. Night in homestay.

Morning transfer to Jalal Abad. Visit the mausoleums and Minaret Uzgen on road. After lunch, transfer to the village of Arslanbob. The road follows first the border with Uzbekistan and the Arslanbob mountains. The village Arslanbob has a typical architecture and the center of the largest walnut forest in the world. It is said that Alexander the Great came to have a rest there with his army and would have brought Macedonia to Arslanbob nuts. Possibility to walk to a sacred waterfall or discover kyrgyz cuisine. Overnight in guest house.

In the morning, we take the road toward Bishkek, the vibrant capital of Kyrgyzstan. Our route follows the scenic Chong Kemin River — a favorite spot for rafting and outdoor adventures — before joining the broad valley of the Chuy River, which forms the natural border between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.

This fertile valley was once a key hub along the Silk Road, home to many ancient cities. We stop to visit the ruins of one of them — Balasagun, the medieval capital of the Karakhanid Empire — and admire the Burana Minaret, a remarkable 11th-century tower that still stands as a symbol of this rich history.

If we reach Bishkek early, we’ll enjoy lunch in a popular local restaurant and take a short tour of the city to discover its tree-lined avenues, lively bazaars, and Soviet-era monuments.

Dinner in the city center and overnight stay at a comfortable hotel in Bishkek.
