Issyk Kul region

Orphan Camp is a unique place for mountaineers and hikers looking for real adventure in the mountains. The hut, built entirely of wood, reflects the spirit of the wilderness and serves as a refuge for those who prefer unspoilt conditions and closeness to nature. But to experience this seclusion, our guests sleep in tents as the hut lacks modern amenities.

This valley lies on the southern flank of the Ak-Shyyrak mountain range. 

In Soviet times there was an important center for geologists. Today, hardly any ruins remain, and the place is rarely visited by travelers. 

The animal life is very wild, and you will undoubtedly see herds of Marco Polo or Ibex.

It is a small canyon in the Ak-Shirak region, between the Ishtik Caravanserai camp and Baralbas Canyon.

The Teleti Gorge, in the upper part of the Jeti Oguz valley, is a quiet and scenic valley of the Teskey Ala-Too range. It begins in dense fir-tree forests, where tall spruces shade the slopes and the air carries the fresh scent of resin and damp earth. The Teleti River flows along the valley floor, and its constant murmur accompanies hikers along the trail. In several places, small waterfalls descend from the rocky slopes, especially during the snowmelt season.

Taragay the river is the union of the Kumtor River and Arabel Suu. She then takes the name of Naryn river when she meets the Karasay.

The Uzongukush rivers have their sources in the Kokshaal-Too and Borkoldoi ranges and flow towards China.

This region is located on the borders of the Issyk Kul Oblast, the Naryn Oblast and the border with China. The climate is mild, although the average altitude is about 2800 metres. It can be reached from the Ak-Say valley in the west, or from the north from Ak-Shirak and Karasay. It is also a peaceful place where it is possible to observe wildlife.

Nestled on the southern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul, the second-largest mountain lake in the world, lies Tuz-Kol, a small hypersaline lake known as the Dead Lake. Situated at an altitude of about 1,600 meters, Tuz-Kol is framed by rolling steppe, dramatic cliffs, and distant snow-capped peaks of the Tien Shan. Its unique location offers a stunning contrast between the shimmering turquoise waters of Issyk-Kul nearby and the dark, mineral-rich waters of Tuz-Kol itself.
