Issyk Kul region

The recreation center "Znaki" is located on the southern coast of Issyk-Kul - even more environmentally friendly than the northern one - and is in direct proximity to gorges and waterfalls. 

This is a space where everyone can find the opportunity to meet themselves, where you can completely escape from everyday life: walk barefoot, free yourself from the conventions imposed by the world, restore your energy, gain a charge of strength and vigor and breathe deeply again.

Issyk-Kul Central Mosque of Karakol city named after Ibrahim Aji was built by initiative of Ibrahim Aji. He invited the famous Beijing architect Chou Seu and 20 carvers with the skills of traditional Chinese architecture and composition techniques for building the mosque. Construction of the mosque began in 1904 and completed in 1907.

«Rukh Ordo» is a unique open-air museum on the shore of Lake Issyk-Kul in Cholpon-Ata.

The complex includes 10 mini museums: the «Aitmatov’s museum house», the «Kyrgyz art and culture Hall», the picture and photo galleries, «Sayakbay Karalayev's arbor», the «Knowledge Treasure trove» and five chapels, each of them represents one of the world's confessions , namely: Islam, Catholicism, Orthodoxy, Buddhism and Judaism, as a symbol of the fact that God is one for all.

400 km from Bishkek or 60 km from Karakol, the old physical and geological station is situated in the gorge of Chong Kyzyl Suu at 2600 meter alt. It’s very good place for acclimatation or BC before to climb surrounding peaks of the Terskey Alatoo.

Cross border between Tiup district and Kegen in Kazakstan. This post is now again open (excepting during the winter time from 1st October till 31st of May). Open daily from 8.00-18.00. 

The Ak-Bel pass is situated between the Taragay valley and the Karasay valley. It's quiet flat pass on the West side of the Ak-Shirak range. 

The Chong-Ak-Suu valley or also called Grigorivka, stretches for 35 km in the Kungey Alatoo massif, between Lake Issyk Kul and the Kazakh border. The river of the same name is bordered to the north by cliffs and very steep slopes, while to the south, large pastures cover the mountains. The valley is very visited in summer by tourists who come to rest on the shores of Lake Issyk Kul.

The Chokoly Lakes or Chokoli-Kol Lakes are a group of a dozen lakes on the south side of the Juuku Pass. Only the large lake on the east side has a river flowing into the Arabel Suu River. The length of the largest lake is about 3 km.

As soon as you wake up and decide to look out of the tent, you are immediately greeted by an incredible view of the lake, which, like a natural mirror, beckons with its beauty in the early morning.

Probably this is one of the most beautiful places, which is great for camping.
