In the Abshir-Say valley, 40 km southwest of the town of Nookat is the unique Abshir-Ata waterfall, 1,800 meters above sea level.
The waterfall is unique because the water escapes from a hole with a diameter of 1.5 m, and its fall has a height of 12 to 15 m from the ground. The water contains mineral salts. It is considered sacred, and so are many local visitors.
According to a legend, once upon a time there was a pilgrim who hit the rock with his stick and milk began to flow from it.

The Irkeshtam border post allows the import of goods from Kashgar to Osh, spreading the whole Ferghana's valley. The road is fully renewed from Osh to the pass and finished in 2012. From the Chines side, the road was finished some years ago. The cross is allowed for all tourist with a valid Chinese visa. (without local tour agency arrangement). The border is situated on the Chinese side of the Alaykku range, 35 km of physical pass Töö-Morun 3536 meters altitude, which is situated on the Kyrgyz territory.

The border post of Kyzyl Art is situated at 4282 m. alt. in the Yalayskiy range, between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. On the way of the Pamir Highway M41 joining Osh to Khorog.
On the North side, the road is going slowly in a amazing valley. The panoramic view is opening on icy and snowy mountains.
The South side opens on a another world where the landscape is semi desert.
