Gilgit

We do not come to Gilgit for the charm of the city, but because it is an important stopover on the Silk Road (Karakoram), and a starting point for trekking, skiing or mountaineering programs, because it has a small airport open all year round.
It is a city which brings together several villages and appear as districts of the city.
One of the interesting sites is the Buddha carved into the mountain to the west of the city, the Kargah Buddha, Yshani

Andijan

Historically, Andijan was an important city on the Silk Road. The 2000 years old city is perhaps best known as the birthplace of Babur who, following a series of setbacks, finally succeeded in laying the basis for the Mughal dynasty in the Indian subcontinent and became the first Mughal emperor. The traditional explanation links the name of the city to the Turkic tribal names Andi and Adoq / Azoq. Don't miss to visit the Babur house, the Jami complex and the historical museum.

Zharkent

Zharkent is a small town of about 40'000 inhabitants, mostly Uyghurs (53%) and Kazakhs (38%) situated around 30 km from the Chinese border on the road Almaty-Horgos A353.

Zharkent's history dates back centuries. Formerly, the city was one of the fortified points of the Great Silk Road, as evidenced by archaeological finds. Historians claim that it was in these regions that the battles of the Dzungars with the Kazakhs took place.

Istaravshan

Istaravshan is one of the largest ancient cities in the world since its founding in the 6th century BC. The Persian king Cyrus of the Achaemenid dynasty (529-559 BC) called the new city in his honor, Kurush Kada which is located in northern Tajikistan, in the foothills of the Turkestan Range, at an altitude of about 1000 meters above sea level. In 2002, the city celebrated 2500 years. An interesting fact of the story is that Alexander the Great was wounded for the first time during the conquest of this city.

Türkmenabat

Türkmenabat second-large city in Turkmenistan. Till 1924 and in 1927-40 the city had the name Chardzhuy, in 1924-27 Leninsk, in 1940-92. Chardzhou, in 1992-99 Chardzhev.

The great Silk way has played a huge role in the history and lives of this city. The grotto of Amul-this first name of Türkmenabat was one of important points, a reliable haven on this well-known road, also. Later it has been postponed also for the Construction Department river. She began to be called Amu Darya that is meant by the Amu-river.

Bharatpur

Bharatpur, located in the heart of Nepal, is a picturesque city steeped in history and culture. This city is famous for its beautiful parks, ancient temples and cozy atmosphere.

Aksu

Aksu, this city in the north of East Turkestan, was certainly founded by the Kacharians between 3000 years and 2400 years BC, before being assimilated by the Uighur people. Its name means in Turk "white water". It is an oasis on the Silk Road, from the north, which bypassed the Taklamakan desert, between Kashgar and Kucha, but a starting point to connect Kyrgyzstan by the Bedel pass (on the Sino-Kyrgyz border) and allowed to connect Lake Issyk Kul (Kyrgyzstan).

Turkmenbashi

Turkmenbashi is the largest and capital city of Turkmenistan, located on the coast of the Caspian Sea. With its beautiful beaches and seaside resorts, it attracts both locals and tourists from all over the world.

Historically, the city served as an important trade and cultural center on the Silk Road. Today it has become a modern and dynamic place, offering a variety of entertainment and recreational opportunities. Its architecture combines elements of traditional and modern styles, creating a unique image of the city.

Pokhara

The first settlement of the valley is theorized to have taken place when the first King of Kaski, Kulamandan Shah Khad made Batulechaur in the northern side of the valley his winter capital during the mid 14th century. 

Pokhara is the leader adventure and leisure destination in Nepal, a gateway for nature lovers in the Annapurna region with plenty of entertainment.

In Pokhara you can experience the excitement of adventure: boating, hiking, pony rides, paragliding, bungee, zipline or simply relaxing at one of the several lakes in the valley.
