Bishkek

The gallery is located in the very center of Bishkek, not far from Ala-Too Square. It is a place for everyone who loves art. It is not just closed halls — often these are open or semi-open spaces where you can see paintings, works of art, and sometimes souvenirs or applied art.

The gallery features different types of art: from classical painting to contemporary works. Here you can see landscapes, scenes from life, paintings reflecting the culture, nature, and life of Kyrgyzstan.

The April Revolution Memorial is a special place in the center of Bishkek that reminds people of the events of April 7, 2010, when 87 people died. On that day, many citizens took to the streets to express their dissatisfaction with the government. The protests were violent, and dozens of people gave their lives for change in the country.

Erkindik Revolutionaries Square is located in the center of Bishkek. It is one of the city's important historical sites. The square was built during the Soviet era and is dedicated to the people who participated in the revolutionary events of the early 20th century in Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia. The main feature of the square is the Monument to the Revolutionaries, unveiled in 1978. It was created by the famous Kyrgyz sculptor Turgunbay Sadykov together with architect G. Kutateladze.

Ala-Too Square is the main square of Kyrgyzstan, located in the center of Bishkek. The name Ala-Too translates from Kyrgyz as "variegated mountains" and refers to the mountain range of the same name, where the mountains are "peggy" in color: partly white due to snow, partly dark in snowless areas. Ala-Too is a popular place for festivals, celebrations and holidays. Ala-Too is usually decorated with lights for Independence Day (August 31) and New Year (here the lights are complemented by a Christmas tree with traditional Kyrgyz patterns).

The Cathedral in Bishkek, erected in 1941, is not only a religious symbol but also a cultural heritage reflecting the richness and diversity of the region. Its architecture combines the national motifs of Central Asia and elements of the Orthodox tradition, creating a unique and harmonious appearance.

A monument dedicated to Kojomkul Kadaev, son of Kaba, is a shepherd born in the village formerly "8 March" in 1888. He became famous for a very imposing body and his sports victories in wrestling competitions. Its exact height and weight are uncertain. We are talking about a height of 1m97 to 2m30 with a weight between 164 and 203 kg. He liked to ride and carry huge stones, and a little-known but still current sport, carrying a horse! Kojomkul died in 1955.

The Maldybaev Opera and Ballet Theater, located on Abdrakhmanov Street in the Sverdlovsk district of Bishkek, opened in 1937 in Bishkek as a Musical Drama Theater. During his long career, a large number of performances have been staged at the Maldybayev Opera and Ballet Theater. The architectural style of the main building of the theater is the embodiment of classics in the best traditions of ancient Greek urban planning. The Kyrgyz Theater has never limited its activities to stationary work, actively strengthened and expanded ties with the theatrical art of other peoples.
