Aitmatov District turns Talas into personal geography. Kyzyl-Adyr, Sheker, valley villages and Kara-Buura mountain edges connect field life with the memory of Chinghiz Aitmatov, whose name now marks the district and gives its rural roads a literary echo.

Nookat District rises south of Osh through cultivated foothills and busy village roads. Nookat town, gardens, markets and upland approaches make it a social, productive belt between the southern city and the higher Alay routes toward wider mountain country.

Sokuluk District sits on Bishkek’s expanding western edge. Sokuluk town, dense villages, fields, workshops and commuter roads make the district a place where rural Chuy and capital life overlap rather than sit apart, especially along the roads out of the city.

Chong-Alay District is where the Alay Valley grows higher, wider and more exposed. Daroot-Korgon, border roads, pasture settlements and views toward the Trans-Alay Range make the district feel close to Tajikistan and serious mountain weather.

Uzgen District is anchored by a city that carries more weight than its size suggests. Uzgen’s minaret, mausoleums, bazaar, rice fields and road links give the district a historic southern identity close to Osh but alive in daily street life.

Bakay-Ata District sits inside the agricultural heart of Talas Region. Around Bakay-Ata village, fields, irrigation, family compounds and foothill roads keep the valley practical, giving heritage routes a lived rural setting rather than a museum frame.
