Tajikistan

Khorog Airport is a small airport located west of Khorog City, which is the administrative center of Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region. The airport is located near the bank of the Panj River, a cross-border river between Tajikistan and Afghanistan.
The airport was built in the Soviet years. It has an asphalt track with a length of 1840 meters. The airport is located at an altitude of 2080 meters and thus one of the highest airports in the world. The airport serves a daily flight with Dushanbe International Airport.

Safed Dara means the white valley, and it's situated 50 km North of Dushanbé. The old ski resort formerly named Takob was renovated in 2015 and was reopened for the 1st of January 2016. There are 2 T-bar lifts of 1000 meters each, the National ski school, a restaurant and 56 hotel's rooms.

It's also a very good spot for any mountain sport : mountain biking, horse riding, backcountry skiing, ski-touring, hiking, mountaineering.

The Dushanbe tea room

Kohi Navruz (Kori Nowruz or Noruz Palace) was designed as a teahouse, but during construction it was transformed into a palace. "Kohi Navruz" consists of 12 unusual rooms, each of them is made in a special style. The complex has an art room, a banquet hall, a living room with carved stone moldings, a plaster room decorated with mirrors, two rooms for important political meetings. In total, the building can accommodate more than 3,200 people.

The architectural monument of the Sari Mazor Mausoleum is located in the city of Istaravshan in the Sughd region in the north of the Republic of Tajikistan. The Sari Mazor Mausoleum is a 16th century architectural monument and is a two-chamber, two-domed structure.
The mausoleum is built of fired bricks. The building consists of a square dome in the shape of a cross, including an engraved tomb.
The dome of the portal and the tomb rest on arches of the spherical type.

In the vicinity of the village of Langar, buried in the mighty mountains of Tajikistan, more than 6,000 petroglyphs are hidden, witnesses of ancient times and mute testimonies of a unique culture. Carved on rocky ridges at an altitude of more than 3,000 meters, these images are a remarkable monument of ancient history, which strikes the imagination with its mystery and beauty.

Hulbuk (Khulbuk) is an ancient citadel in Tajikistan, located near the village of Kurban-Said (Qurbonshahid) in the middle of the village of Pingan, in the Khatlon region, about 26 km southwest of the city of Kulob. The results of excavations at Hulbuk indicate that it was the capital of Khuttal province from the 9th to 11th centuries. The complex includes the Sovereign's Palace, the Citadel and richly decorated ancient dwellings, including figures and animals.

Lake Karakul, located in Tajikistan's Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO), is one of Central Asia's most spectacular and mysterious natural wonders. Framed by the high peaks of the Pamirs and the rippling highland deserts, it is an oasis of tranquility and beauty amidst the harsh nature.
