On the road from Kochkor to Kazarman

In the morning, we depart from Kochkor and head west, following a scenic road that winds through rolling hills and pastures. We soon reach the village of Kyzart, a gateway to the stunning mountain landscapes of central Kyrgyzstan. From here, we begin our descent into the Jumgal Valley, where small villages and grazing lands stretch between the Song-Kul and Jumgal Too mountain ranges.

As we continue, the valley narrows into a gorge, and we arrive at the village of Aral, where the Jumgal River merges with the Kekemeren River. From this point, the road follows the Kekemeren River downstream, offering breathtaking views of one of the most beautiful canyons in Kyrgyzstan. The landscape is a striking contrast of deep red cliffs and lush green pastures, where nomads still graze their herds.

We stop for a picnic along the riverbank, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere and the impressive natural scenery. After lunch, we continue our journey through the canyon, passing through small villages before reaching the point where the Kekemeren River joins the mighty Naryn River. Here, the road turns south, following the Naryn Valley as it winds through rugged mountains.

In the afternoon, we begin a gradual ascent, passing through remote landscapes before reaching the high plateau that leads toward Kazarman. As we approach the town, the scenery shifts to wide, open steppe, with distant peaks rising on the horizon.

By late afternoon, we arrive in Kazarman, a town once significant during the Soviet era and now an important stop on the road through central Kyrgyzstan. We settle into our guesthouse, where we enjoy a warm welcome and a well-earned rest.
