Trekking Expedition - Around Kel Suu Lake

After a peaceful night in Kok-Kyia Valley, we start our journey back to Naryn city in the morning. We bid farewell to Meder and his family, leaving behind the remote beauty of the valley as we cross the wide, open plains of the Ak-Suu high valley.

Approaching the military checkpoint, we complete the necessary border zone formalities before continuing through the rugged landscapes of Ak-Say Valley. From here, we ascend the Kaindy Pass, offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains before descending into the green pastures of Bosogo, where herds of yaks and horses graze freely.

Following the At-Bashi River, we drive through a vast expanse of alpine meadows before rejoining the main road. As we cross the At-Bashi Valley, the mountains gradually give way to wide-open plains.

Before reaching Naryn, we make a short stop at Ak-Tash Waterfall, where water mysteriously flows from the rocky cliffs—a perfect place for a break and some final photos of the journey. From here, we descend through the red canyon, retracing our route towards civilization.

By late afternoon or early evening, we arrive back in Naryn city, marking the end of our adventure through one of Kyrgyzstan’s most breathtaking landscapes.

Winter Route Note: If the Kaindy Pass is closed due to snow, we take the alternative route via Torugart.
