The Urgench international airport under IATA code UGC is the nearest airport in the north of Uzbekistan desserving the historical city of Khiva. Flights operate to Tashkent daily and other flights to Dushanbe, Moscow and St-Petersburg.

Nukus International Airport under the IATA code "NCU" was built in the 1960s, and is located in the north of Uzbekistan. The current airstrips were renovated in 2011. The airlines Ural Airlines and Uzbekistan Airlines operate from this airport.

In March 1923, the Russian Society of Voluntary Air Fleet "Dobrolet" was founded and was launched a training overhead lines in Uzbekistan. Innovation has become very important. At this time, from Tashkent to Almaty was done in 15 days on horseback, and the way from Tashkent to Bukhara and to Khiva on the caravan routes was very dangerous and the trip could held a month! In the summer of 1923, work began on the construction of the main and spare fields by experts from Moscow.

Around 1400, the Turkish-Mongol emperor Tamerlane brought back from Persia to Samarkand a supposed relic (an arm, or the whole body, according to the versions) of Daniel, who is called Doniyor in Uzbek. So we also find, near a pistachio tree and a reputed miraculous source, a tomb of Daniel in Samarkand: the mausoleum of Khodja Daniyar. It is contained in a long and low building topped with five domes, on the banks of the Sieb Aryk River, it contains an 18 m long sarcophagus, the longest in the world.

This mausoleum is one of the most beautiful places in Khiva. Pahlavon Mahmud was a philosopher, a poet and legendary wrestler who became the patron saint of Khiva. His tomb was rebuilt in 1326 AD. Pahlavon Mahmud's tomb is in a Persian style room and covered with the finest tile Khiva.

The Kalyan Minaret, also known as Katta Minor (literally "Grand Minaret") is the minaret of the Friday Mosque in the historic center of Bukhara, built in 1127 by the Karakhanid Arslan Khan, known for his activities as a town planning.

The terracotta brick minaret is a symbol of Bukhara; the highest with its 45.6 meters and one of the oldest architectural monuments in the city; one of the most remarkable structures of this type in the Muslim East.

 Shah-i-Zinda is a medieval cemetery in Samarkand and a place of pilgrimage, a collection of mausoleums of the Karakhanid and Timurid nobility. The set consists of eleven mausoleums, successively joined to each other during the 14th-15th centuries. In 2001, the entire Shah-i-Zinda Mausoleum, along with other ancient buildings in Samarkand, was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Chor Minor or Char Minar is also known as the Madrasah of Khalif Niyaz-kul. It is located in an alley northeast of the Lyab-i Hauz complex. It is protected as a monument of cultural heritage and is also part of the historic center of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Bukhara. In Tajik, the name of the monument means "four minarets", in reference to the four towers of the building.

Carpet Weaving Museum. The exposition of the carpet museum was opened in 1991 in the ancient mosque of  Maghoki-Attar(XVI century) near the ancient Shahrud canal, in the center of the old city, next to the dome of the Sarraphon money changers. Before the invasion of the Arabs (VIII century), there was a bazaar at this place, where idols, medicinal drugs and spices were sold. There was also a temple of fire worshippers "Moss" ("temple of the moon").

The National Museum of Arts named after I. V. Savitsky, located in Nukus, is one of the largest museums in Uzbekistan. The museum's collection is recognized as the second in the world in terms of importance and volume among the collections of works of the Russian avant-garde, as well as the best collection of art in the Asian region.
